Certainly has been. Looking to get some gear to play with my C7 at the track. Still autocrossing? I hear this is the final year of auto-x at the stadium. Sad!

I’m also curious on where to purchase a helmet here in San Diego?
I’d prefer to purchase from a brick and mortar store instead of a Internet store.
Cheers!
We don't really have stores that carry helmets, suits or seats in San Diego...Places like CycleGear sometimes may have helmets that are SA, but even that is rare.

Hi Steve,
Mostly no B&M stores with large selection. You might find "a" store with a few. I usually just stick with a brand I've used in the past & order online, but 2015 standard changed quite a bit. Maybe come to the event this weekend and just ask a few guys to try theirs. I may be there Sunday a couple of hours & will bring my 2 (a 2010 and a 2015).

Mine are large so not sure that works.

I should have posted back some time ago I went to Winding Road in Fountain Valley and picked up a helmet, suit, gloves, and boots they had in a package deal. See attached image from their site. It was $1,400 + tax.

Bumping this up as I need to get a new helmet.
I know SNELL M is ok, but looking for SNELL SA to be more usable at most events.
or you guys think SAH is better?
All SA2020 I believe come with Hans threaded inserts standard. I would buy a new SA2020 for maximum flexibility, and it's no more costly than an M helmet.
Which stores in San Diego can I buy one?
Bike stores only have SNELL M's
Off Road Warehouse has some stuff, they guys mostly know trucks. I'm not sure how knowledgeable they are on race safety. Off road racers are notoriously cheap on buying safety gear. They'll spend 10k on shocks and ask you you have cheaper helmet than $100. True story.
I used to sell Bell helmets to K1 in Carlsbad. Not sure if they a "brick and mortar" store in Carlsbad.
Look up the manufacture of the helmet you like, Bell, Simpson, Zamp, etc., go to their site and find the "dealer locator" button. you might need to drive to Orange County or ugh, LA
Steve
I'll try to check with ORW.
I would think there are more options here in SD to go to a store and try some helmets out.
Maybe check K1 in Carlsbad, their business location, not the kart track.
