Laguna Seca with the Golden Gate Region PCA

I went up to Laguna Seca with the Golden Gate Region PCA and had a really awesome time. This was my first event at this track and it really is an amazing place.

Saturday sessions I worked on getting my confidence up and was running in the 1:50s then on Sunday I experimented with turning the PSM off and dropped three seconds and was running in the 1:47s.

This is the video from my very best lap of the weekend 1:47.362

Did you drive the car to the track? How long?

I did drive my car up and back. Another fellow from San Diego was going with a trailer and took my extra wheels, which was a lifesaver.

The GPS says its a ~7.5 hour drive if you take the most direct route.

I wasn't in a hurry and really enjoy the section of Highway 1 between San Luis Obispo and Monterey, so that's the way I went. I left San Diego at about 10am, did my best to go around LA, had dinner in SLO and got to my hotel near the track just before 9pm (the sun set at 8:30).
