Temporary numbers for aluminum doors (vinyl?)

I'm in a bit of a scramble here as I was hoping to enter the San Diego Tour event next weekend, but found out today that my decade-old magnetic numbers won't work on my new car due to its aluminum doors.

So I'm trying to figure out in the next 24 hours or so whether I can source appropriate numbers by Friday -- preferably something that will stick for the weekend and then allow for a residue-free removal on Sunday night.

Please respond here or PM me. Thanks.

I can't help you with sourcing new numbers, but I can tell you this; our Region trailer will be at the site, and we can give some of our paper numbers, which are perfectly legal and acceptable.

Hehe, I love picturing people putting magnets on their aluminum door just to watch it drop to the ground. :-).

I've got perfect lower tack stuff in black, red or white. Looks just like normal vinyl but in a matte finish rather than the typical glossy finish. Sticks just as well as anything, but peals off clean and easy. It's what I use on my RallyMiata that I'm constantly changing numbers and classes on. I'm guessing your need of 2digits + class for each door would be just $12.

Problem is I can't be down there Friday night, just early Saturday. I can ship them for $5 tomorrow though if you get info for me to cut tonight.

Well that didn't work -- PMs are full. Guess there's nothing really private here, so I'll just post it...

    Here's what I need:

ASP class letters, and car number 6, in white.

Do you want PayPal for the payment? Does the fact of a one digit number cut the price any?

Also, I'll pay to have them shipped...

I screwed up my own address:
    @jaycomservices.com

    Jaycomvinyl.com is the web address.

PMs cleaned up too. Haven't gotten one if those in a while.

Jack, shouldn't you be buying numbers for the local events too? I happen to have inside info, and you are not Number 6.

Don't have a number card yet. Will get something with a 6 in it.

I've run #6 at every National and Divisional level event I've ever run in my own car.

    Hi Jay,

Can you make the static cling numbers (for Corvette) where the number/class is stuck on to a clear static cling vinyl sheet?

Like "SSP" in silver onto a 12" long clear static sheet. So you don't have to fool around with lining up individual s/s/p? Height would be in proportion to 12" long, font = Bookman Bold

I will be at tour sunday.
