Good driver + good car means you get beat. So many local classes work like this. Pick one, any one, CS, HS, STU, SM, DSP, FSP, SMF, P1, P2, FM, M1. Any of those classes (and a few more) if even a average national driver/car show up, it gets blasted. In your case you have Derek running PAX. He changes his mind, your done.

All regions are the same.

If the ST proposal goes through next year, the civics can no longer jump around, they will be in STS only. So I would expect some to go SMF.

Thanks for the advice on the tires. A bit to stew over, but definately worthwhile info. Budget is a concern for me so I will keep that in mind. Weight is not a concern for me( car is pretty light) So the sidewall issue should be minimal.

This is a question that I am sure will warrant a wide array of reponses, but I will ask anyway. As far as FWd what tires are you guys running, and what seems to work decent? I will be in need of some soon and with the million varieties on the market jsut looking for any input. The size I am running is 195/60/14 if that makes any difference.

For 14" street tires, the Star Specs are the best choice.

I have looked at those before and they look pretty good. Reviews seem real good on them as well. Do they heat up quick? Just concerned with the light weight of my car that I need help getting the tires hot as much as possible.

they are advertised as autox tires so yeah they're sticky quick and good in transitions. If you got money, Yokohama Advan Neova AD08 are known to be THE best...didn't mention them earlier because they are about 80 bucks more per tire in my size (I run 17s though). If you're worried about light weight, I did more research and Bridgestone RE-11 are smart bets as well.

The Z1 Star Specs are your best choice for pure speed in a 14" street tire. It's also not too bad in the wet.

LMK too if you find a good deal on those 14" star specs. Me and my girl want them for her prius and she runs the exact same size as you! On the flipside, I may check out what Discount Tire can do since they've been good to me in the past.

So far it looks like Tire rack is the cheapest. Summit does not have them in their catalog yet, but they are going to get a hold of the manufacturer and get a price for me. They usually have decent prices, but with tires you just never know. I will let you know what I find out.
